PROJECT: Wardrobe
Comments: This dresser was designed with the client, who wanted a wardrobe to hold what he had been storing in three or four different places. We made the lower drawers a generous size, and included drawers above for small things as well.
As often happens in the process of building a piece, the wood winds up having its own imprint on the design. In this case, a plank of quilted mahogany provided exceptional wood grain of the drawer fronts.
The two pilasters were turned on a lathe, then split in half. The drawer pulls were turned from the same wood. The finish is alkyd varnish.
Wood: Genuine Mahogany
