PROJECT: Library Study
Comments: The Cat is In. And please don't disturb her--she's choosing a good book.
This bright, pleasant room adjoining my client's kitchen was seldom used, and she decided that with a little bit of separation from the nearby kitchen, it would make a great study. To make the room cozier, we added a glass-panel frame on one side of the opening, with the appearance of a partially closed sliding door. Genuine antique glass provides the perfect look.
A shelf unit lines the adjacent wall, creating a small library that encloses the gentle reader in an ocean of books.
Materials: Door Panel is Alder Wood and Benheim Restoration Glass.
Bookshelf is veneer-core panels with a black Lacquer finish, distressed.
