 PROJECT: Wall ShelvesComments: The stereo system perched unsteadily atop an antique serving buffet, and the music collection of tapes and discs rattled around inside. Books and art lay scattered about elsewhere in the room, or stored away in boxes, inaccessable. Such was my client's situation. The goal of this shelf system was to bring order to the chaos. We filled the entire wall with shelves, to make room for future additions. The shelf running the length of the top allows for the storage of more art and memorabilia. Now, the electronics are secure and easy to reach, and the music and books organized. The shelves are stained to a color slightly lighter than the surrounding walls, then finished with three coats of urethane varnish. Wood: Red Oak
