Shown to the left is a pair of similar shutters in a professional office. They can be fitted to just about any window or door, and can be either permanently mounted or hinged.

Details such as mortise-and-tenon joinery for the frames, and screw-eyes for the control wand attachment rather than staples, ensure that these will be in service for years to come. They have a clear varnish finish.
